These
hills are turning green.
The gloomy brown
is almost gone.
The birds are building a nest for their
next generation.
The lilies are blooming everywhere.
Spring is here
but we are so sad.
On July 1, 1958, Anthony Walton Back was born
into the home of the late I.D. and Ina
Rose Back. Tony,
as everyone called him, passed from this life on
Saturday, April
9, 2005. He was 46 years, 9 months and 8 days of age
at his passing.
“Man that is born of a woman is of few days,
and full of trouble.”
Tony was a
special child. He was kind and loving. His heroes
were special
heroes. He was a man of many skills and great ability.
He worked for the
Kentucky Department of Transportation for 17
years. He could
make that Gradall do things others only dreamed of.
He spent many
years cleaning up disaster areas, especially in the
South.
Tony loved his Daddy and Mother, and I.D. and
Ina Rose loved
him with an
unconditional love.
Tony married Jina Johnson and to this union
was born a special
son, Anthony
Price Back. Tony loved Anthony, and, oh, how Anthony
loved his Daddy.
Tony also loved Anthony’s brother, Shane
Dixon. A few
years ago, Tony married Sherry Gibson, who survives.
In addition, Tony
is survived by 1 brother, Ronald Wakefield Back
and wife, Hester;
1 sister, Sherry Back Fugate and husband, Allen;
and a special
friend, Shannon Allen. He is also survived by 1 niece,
Callie Fugate and
3 nephews, Ikey Back, Byron Back and Allen
Fugate, as well
as a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
There is much
that we do not understand. But we do know that
“God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life".
