
Iva Mullins, age 77, of Pippa Passes, Kentucky,
passed away on
Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at his
residence. He was
born on February 2, 1928 in Knott
County. He was
the son of the late John Riley and Barbara
Amburgey Mullins.
He was the husband of Lauretta
Slone Watson
Mullins of Pippa Passes, Kentucky. He was retired
from the Knott
County Board of Education and a member of the Ivy
Point Church. He
is survived by two sons, Chris Watson and wife,
Brenda, of
Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Denzil Watson of Pippa
Passes, Kentucky;
three daughters, Sharon K. Mullins of Hindman,
Kentucky, Denise
Slone and husband, Wayne, of Litt Carr, Kentucky
and Maxine Born
and husband, Lawrence, of Covington, Kentucky;
one brother,
Burley Mullins of Elkhart, Indiana; three sisters; Ollie
Neal of
Morgantown, Indiana, Bonnie Patrick of White Cloud, Michigan,
and Mary Holliday
of Ary, Kentucky; one special friend, Michael
Slone; one
son-in-law, Jimmy Farmer; and12 grandchildren and 11
great
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one
son, Lester
Mullins; two daughters, Laura Marie Farmer and Carol
Sue Mullins; two
brothers, Newton Ray Mullins and Marcus J.
Mullins; three
sisters, Pearlie Jent, Ruthena Hudson and Rachael
Edgars; and one
grandson, Christopher Watson. He had many special
friends and
relatives who loved him and will miss him.
He was his wife’s love, her sunshine and her
life. He was a great
husband, father,
grandfather and friend. He was dearly loved and
will be greatly
missed.
