It is with a sad heart
but fond memories that
I will attempt to
write the
obituary of my dear friend, neighbor and brother in Christ.
Norman “Norm”
Caudill, son of the late Roy and Ida Mae Eldridge
Caudill, was born
in Letcher County, Kentucky, on December 29,
1962. He entered
eternal life on Friday, April 15, 2005 at his residence
at Pinetop,
Kentucky, being 42 years, 3 months and 16 days of
age at the time
of his passing.
Norm attended the Old Regular Baptist Church
and was a member
of the Knott
County Motorcycle Club. Norm was a wonderful
father and loved
his girls very much. Kristi and Amy, you can both
be assured that
you were first and foremost in your daddy’s heart and
mind. He often
spoke to me of “my girls” in loving and enduring
terms.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Caudill of
Hazard, Kentucky;
two daughters,
Kristi Lynn Caudill and Amy Nicole Caudill, both of
Hazard, Kentucky;
three sisters, Brenda Cantrell of Pound, Virginia,
Linda Holbrook
and Sarah Jane Caudill of Mayking, Kentucky; and
three brothers,
Billy Dean Caudill of Isom, Kentucky, Vergle Caudill
of Blackey,
Kentucky and Morris Dale Caudill of Pinetop, Kentucky.
Also surviving
are a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his
passing. Norm was
preceded in death by a nephew, Lonnie Edward
Howard, who
passed away on March 24, 1993.
“In the midst of life we are in death,” none
of us know when God
will call us
home. If we would all love God and be a good neighbor
and friend as
Norm was, we could hear “Well done my good and
faithful servant”
when this life is through. Sleep on our brother, take
your rest. We
surely miss you and hope to meet you in that sweet bye
and bye.

Christ,
