With a
sad and lonely heart I will try to
write the
obituary of my dear brother and
friend, Hayse Hatfield.
Brother Hayse was born on April 11,
1939 and went to
be with the Lord on July 3, 2005. He
was a life-long
resident of Gilbert, West Virginia,
a minister of the gospel for thirty
years, and a devoted member
of Little David Church. We miss you,
dear brother, along with your
broken hearted family. Your seat is
now empty, your voice is now
silent. Your death was our loss and
Heaven’s gain. I believe with all
of my heart that you are resting in
God’s paradise. I remember the
numerous times you’ve told me, “I’m
homesick for Heaven.” Rest in
peace, Brother Hayse, enter into the
joy of the Lord forever.

Miss me - but let me go
When I come to the end of
the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom
filled room,
Why cry for a soul set
free.
Miss me a little - but not
too long,
And not with your head
bowed low.
Remember the love that we
once shared,
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey that
we all must take,
And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the
Master’s plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and
sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know.
And bury your sorrows in
doing good deeds,
Miss me - but let me go.
