It is with
sadness and joy that I will try to write my
Mom’s obituary.
Sadness, because I miss her so much,
joy, because I
believe she is with the Lord and she will
suffer no more.
Stacy Bell Boyd Deel, 91, went to be with the Lord
on Friday, June
3, 2006. She was a resident of Buchanan County all
of her life. She
joined the Little David Old Regular Baptist Church
on June 1, 1997.
She was born on January 28, 1914, to the late Plez
Boyd and Mary
Frances Deel Boyd. In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in
death by her husband, Alferd Burton Deel, one daughter,
Lena Deel
Blankenship, and four sisters and two brothers.
She leaves to
mourn her passing three daughters, Thelma
Blankenship and
her husband, Larry Blankenship, Lucille Justice and
Edith Deel, and
one sister, Ora Boyd.
Goodbye, Mom, for a little while, soon I hope
to be with you in
Heaven, where we
will never part again. Mom will always live in
our thoughts and
hearts forever. We all love and miss you.
Written by your daughter and sister in the
Lord,
Thelma Blankenship.
YOU
WOULD
NOT CRY FOR ME
If you could feel the contentment
If you could see the sights I see,
If you could hear the angels singing
You would not cry for me.
If you knew the one I’m seeing
And, see the smiles He smiles at me,
If you knew where I am resting
You would not cry for me.
I am resting in the arms of JESUS
No other place would I rather be,
If you knew the peace I’m feeling
You would not cry for me.
So, if you shed a tear today
Please think of me this way,
If you knew the peace I’m feeling
You would not cry for me.
