Willie Samuel

Williams Cook
on Friday, April 7, 1916 and passed

life on Saturday, September 3, 2005, being 89
years, 4
months and 27 days of age. Willie is survived by
his wife,
Mary Gayheart Cook; two sons, William Samuel Cook,
Jr. and

C. Cook and

and Carolyn
Sue Morton; one step-daughter, Avanell Eversole
and

ten

and two step
great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by
his first

Many years ago, Brother Bill
realized that he was in sin and needed
a Savior. He
had a great desire to go to Heaven when this
life was
finished so
he repented and God forgave his sins and came
into his
life to stay.
On June 2, 1992 Brother Bill told the Happy
Home Church
of his
experience with God and of his lively hope in Christ.
He joined
the church
and was baptized in the name of the Father, the
Son and
the Holy
Ghost. Brother Bill was a faithful member of the
Happy
Home Church
and a willing worker for the Lord. When his health
was good, he
was always in attendance at his home church and
traveled
to many of
our sister churches on other weekends. Brother Bob
Combs and
Brother Howard Owens were always ready and willing
to take
Brother Bill and Sister Mary to church. God blessed
them
with
wonderful brothers such as these are. Brother Bill loved
to serve
the Lord and
had a strong faith that God would take care of
him. He
would say, “I
am ready to go when He is ready to take me.”
His faith
became
reality as the angels carried him to his Heavenly home.
Brother Bill
was a loving father, grandfather and husband. He
is
greatly
missed by those he left behind. However, he left this
world of
trouble and
sorrow to go to a land of joy and peace. God has
moved
the family’s
reunion to Heaven.
