Willie Thacker was born on August 11, 1933 in Knott
County. Willie is the son of the late Jim and Mary Belle
Thacker. He was the husband of the late Zena Merille
Patrick Thacker. They had six children; four boys,
Larry, Tommy, Mark and the late Kenneth Thacker; and
two daughters, Patricia Combs and Rebha Pennington.
Willie entered eternal life on July 28, 2005, but not before he
turned his life over to the Lord. He joined church in April, 2005 and
was baptized. He joined the Summertown Old Regular Baptist
Church.

Oh, Papaw, if you only knew how much I miss you,
But, I know you miss us to.
We have cried many tears,
I wish that you were here.
I wish that you didn’t have to go,
But you are better off I know.
I miss you so much,
Your warm smile and loving touch.
Your big blue eyes,
That lit up like the sky.
Your heart was as big as can be,
And it was plain for the world to see.
But now you are happy and healthy where you are,
Shining in Heaven like a star.
It is sad that you had to go,
But now you are at peace I know.
Even though on Earth you had to die,
You live on in that big blue sky.
Our hearts are in so much pain,
But Heaven is lucky it had you to gain.
